WE ARE GOLF (formerly Golf 20/20) Diversity Task Force hosted an informative Diversity Roundtable that was attended by over 100 people on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 4:30pm-7:00 pm, in the West convention hall at the Orlando Convention Center. Synchronized during the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, the forum was led by Dr. Michael Cooper, Chairman of the WE ARE GOLF Diversity Task Force and was open to all diversity and inclusion advocates. “The main objectives were to gather golf industry and community-based program leaders in the same room for introductions, in hopes of developing long-term, meaningful relationships,” said Dr. Cooper. A similar forum was hosted during last year’s PGA Show and it garnered lots of recommendations for growing the game among minorities.
