Willie B. Pulley, Sr. 87, member Skyview Golf Association, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 18, 2025.
Willie was a native of Asheville and a son of the late Albert and Alma Sullivan Pulley. He attended the Asheville city schools and was a graduate of Stephens-Lee High School, Class of 1957.
Willie was a former employee of Asheville Steel and AMC until he retired. Willie was an enthusiastic golfer and a member of the Skyview Golf Association. He enjoyed playing golf with friends at the Asheville Municipal Golf Course and other courses in Western North Carolina. Willie also enjoyed bowling. He was a stylish dresser on and off the golf course. Willie was a member of the WNC Baptist Fellowship Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Shirley Simpson and Betty Solomon; brother, Charles Randolph Pulley.
Surviving family to cherish his memory include wife, Winnie Collins Pulley; daughters, Gwen Suber (David), Carolyn Pulley, Martha Montgomery (Kim); sons, Willie B. Pulley, Jr. (Glenda), Anthony Pulley (Monique), Marvin Pulley (Denise) and Isaac Pulley; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Young (William) and Brenda Wilson; brothers, Jesse Pulley and Willie Freeland (Joan); several nieces and nephews. He raised Darnell Pulley, Carnell Pulley and Robert Pulley (Beverly).
