Who would have thunk it? Tiger Woods last made back-to-back TOUR starts at THE NORTHERN TRUST and BMW last season. Although having seen plenty of bodily injuries, and surgeries, Woods is no stranger to Chicago-area golf. He is a five-time winner of the BMW Championship and finished T20 at the 2003 U.S. Open at Olympia Fields.
The FedExCup Playoffs are back
Woods says he is committed to competing next week in Chicago, at the BMW Championship at Olympia Fields, and if this happens it will mark the first time the athlete has played in back-to-back weeks on the PGA TOUR in a year. Introduced in 2007, the BMW Championship was previously known as the Western Open. The Western Golf Association, which founded and ran the Western Open, runs the BMW Championship.
His current standing is at 49 in the FedExCup an has won twice at the PGA Championship at Medinah.
the 2020 golf season has been epic this year, with the onset of COVID-19 and 82-time TOUR winner, Woods has been going with the flow amidst the many venue safety and security procedures and the lack of in-person fans at some events.

After winning the inaugural ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP in Japan last October, Woods went on to play consecutive weeks for a short time, including the unofficial Hero World Challenge and the Presidents Cup this past December. Then, fans went wild when he won the Masters Tournament. After that, something happened to his physical state and he sat out competing in the Honda Classic and is backyard became his most visible practice spot.
Now 44-years old, Woods forwent the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard as well as THE PLAYERS Championship – despite being a prolific winner at Bay Hill and twice a PLAYERS champion at TPC Sawgrass.
This magnificent two-time winner of the FedExCup, who also won the BMW Championship both times en route to winning the TOUR’s season-long competition. The future is unsure, for sure.
