Get Ready! Get Ready! Get Ready!

Friday, September 12, 2025, April McCoy, Kennedi Lee, and Makalia Brown will join Kendall Jackson at The Golf Club of Dallas in a stroke-play competition as Kendall prepares for the first stages of LPGA Q-School, to take place at Denton Country Club in Argyle, Texas, September 22–26.

I am so grateful to Mr. Roland Parrish for inviting me to this event, allowing me to showcase the talents of young women who want to continue competing in golf after college!

April McCoy and Kennedi Lee are former members of Roaring Lambs Jr. Golf Academy, prior to receiving scholarships to play golf at Division I colleges.

April is the first African American female golfer to receive a full scholarship to Texas Christian University (TCU), setting records her freshman year. She will be entering the professional corporate side of golf.

Kennedi received a scholarship to Texas Southern University (TSU). She later transferred to North Carolina A&T, where she graduated before returning to TSU to play while working on her master’s degree. Kennedi is now entering student coaching at TSU.

Makalia, from Chicago, received a scholarship to Jackson State University (JSU). After graduation, she moved to Dallas. Last week, I had the privilege of hosting her Playing Ability Test (PAT) at Prairie Lakes Golf Course. She is now pursuing a career in instruction and coaching.

Kendall Jackson, a graduate of Howard University, is ready to swing into the big leagues. She shared details with FOX 26’s Nate Griffin on HTX @ 10, announcing her debut to play professional golf on the LPGA Tour. Please watch her interview here: https://www.fox26houston.com/video/1688242

Congratulations to all our young ladies, and to those inspired to join them at the highest level!
