Coach Gene Tate hosted the 17th Annual Golf Classic this year at the Legacy Golf Club in Henderson, Nevada. Through the East Palo Alto (EPA) T-Ball/Pitching Machine, Coach Tate summoned celebrity players from across the nation to support student-athletes participating in his year’s program, October 27-29. Earlier in the week, at Doolittle Baseball Field, the program hosted a baseball clinic with Major League Baseball former players as Nate Oliver (LA Dodgers) and Curt Ford (St. Louis Cardinals).
The EPA T-Ball/Pitching Machine is so fortunate to have Platinum Sponsors like Caesars Entertainment, MLB RBI, Las Vegas Aviators, Westgate Resort & Casino, Dusty Baker, John & Sylvia Dicello, Gary & Catherine Petersmeyer, and Curry Brothers Publishing.
This year’s golf tournament was extra special as it attracted thirteen teams that enjoyed the day on the course, socializing, and playing for a very worthy cause. Each year Coach Tate goes the extra mile by doing his absolute best in raising funds to improve the lives of our local student athletes.
The EPA T-Ball/Pitching Machine does more than just teach the fundamentals of baseball, it introduces them to character building, the importance of making good grades in school, as they spend time with local physicians, dentists, law enforcement professionals, entrepreneurs, college fairs, Nellis AFB, and a host of other exciting venues.
Coach Tate is committed to making a positive difference in the next generation and he needs your help by making significant investments throughout the year. Thank you to everyone who made this year a huge success, and we look forward to you supporting future activities the EPA T-Ball/Pitching Machine endeavors.
