George Phillips, 15-years-old and a First Tee Student of Charlotte, North Carolina had his first Hole-in-One on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Dr. Charles L. Sifford Revolution Park Golf Course, Charlotte, North Carolina. George accomplished the feat on Hole #3, 153 Yards using Titleist 7 Iron and TaylorMade TP5 Golf Ball. His playing partner was Robbie Thompson.

A gifted historian and storyteller, he shares the rich legacy, remarkable achievements, and lasting contributions of Black golfers dating back to the late 1890s. Widely respected for his leadership and excellence as a tournament director, Love has been a longtime member of the Par Busters Golf Group in Charlotte, North Carolina. In recognition of his decades of dedication and service to golf administration, he was inducted into the National Black Golf Hall of Fame in 1997.
