Day 1

Arrive Accra

Meet your flight at Kotoka International Airport (ACC). Safe transfer to hotel to rest and relax. Overnight at a high-rise hotel in Osu.

Osu is a lively and cosmopolitan neighborhood located in the heart of Accra, Ghana’s capital city. Often referred to as “Oxford Street,” after its main commercial strip, Osu is known for its energetic vibe, mix of modern and traditional culture, and a wide range of attractions.

Key Features of Osu:

  • Shopping and Dining: Osu is home to a variety of local boutiques, international stores, street vendors, and popular restaurants offering both Ghanaian and global cuisine. It’s a favorite spot for both locals and tourists to shop, eat, and relax.

  • Nightlife: Osu is one of the hottest nightlife hubs in Accra, with a mix of upscale bars, live music venues, lounges, and nightclubs that keep the area vibrant well into the night.

Day 2 Accra Guided city tour: Nkrumah Monument, Independence Square, Jamestown, W.E.B. Du Bois Center, Oxford Street. Overnight in Osu.
Day 3 Accra Naming ceremony, traditional blessing, shopping at local market, drumming and dancing. Overnight in Osu.
Day 4 Kumasi
5¼ hours drive

Visit Yaw Tano shrine, craft villages for Kente weaving and Adinkra stamping, cocoa farm. Overnight in central Kumasi. 

Kumasi, located in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, is the country’s second-largest city and a vibrant center of culture, commerce, and history. Known as “The Garden City” for its lush vegetation, Kumasi is the historic capital of the Ashanti Kingdom, one of Africa’s most powerful pre-colonial empires.

Day 5 Kumasi Tour Cultural Center, Manhyia Palace, Kejetia Market. Optional nightlife. Overnight in Kumasi.
Day 6 Elmina
4 hours drive

Visit Slave River, Cape Coast Castle, Door of Return ceremony on the beach. Overnight at upscale beach resort.

Elmina, located along Ghana’s central coast in the Central Region, is one of the country’s most historically significant towns and a key destination for cultural and heritage tourism. Just a few miles west of Cape Coast, Elmina offers a deep, emotional, and educational look into West Africa’s past, particularly its role in the transatlantic slave trade.

Day 7 Elmina Visit Kakum National Park canopy walkway, crocodile pond, Elmina town, Fort San Jago. Cultural performance. Overnight at beach resort.
Day 8 Departure
3½ hours drive
Morning beach reflection. Visit Posuban shrine or pineapple farm. Last-minute shopping. Transfer to airport.
