The highly anticipated TaylorMade Junior Open is set to return April 18–19, 2026, at The Courses at Watters Creek – Traditions in Plano, Texas, promising an exciting weekend of competition for the nation’s best young golfers. Presented by PGA TOUR Superstore and organized by Junior Golf Championships, this prestigious event is ranked by Golfweek, Junior Golf Scoreboard, and Global Junior Golf, and is part of the AJGA Performance Based Entry (PBE) system, making it one of the most important stops on the junior golf calendar.
The tournament continues its mission of showcasing and developing the next generation of golf talent, offering players not only the opportunity to compete against their peers on a national stage but also a pathway to qualify for some of the most elite junior golf events in the world. Champions in each age division will earn coveted spots in major tournaments, including the Uswing Junior World Championship (formerly IMG Academy Junior World) and the Future Champions Golf – Junior World Championship, both held in California.
Additionally, the Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship will grant regional qualifying spots to the top three finishers in each age group, while the Optimist International – TEXHOMA Championship offers allocations for the renowned Optimist International Championship in Florida. Allocations from the 2025 event include:
- Boys 10–11: 4 spots
- Boys 12–13: 6 spots
- Boys 14–15: 6 spots
- Boys 16–18: 3 spots
- Girls 10–12: 6 spots
- Girls 13–14: 4 spots
- Girls 15–18: 4 spots
Beyond the competition, the TaylorMade Junior Open emphasizes player development, sportsmanship, and exposure to higher levels of competition.
