These shows offered up a great time for doing business and networking. Held from January 20-25 at Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, the African American Golf EXPO & Forum and the 77th Session of the PGA Show, were held in cognizant. Each provided the more than 33,000 attendees with ample opportunity to peruse the exhibitor booths, sit in on informative sessions —such as the Diversity & Inclusion Roundtable— and meet face-to-face with top industry professionals and businesses.
“Both of these expositions were so educational and shed light on just how much this game is growing,” said African American Golfer’s Digest Publisher, Debert Cook who had flown 10-hours from her home in Ghana (West Africa) to attend the week’s events. “I am immensely proud of my Executive Editor, James Beatty, Founder of Jim Beatty Golf Ventures, for the excellent seminars that showcased some of the best leaders, owners and operators in the business. He brilliantly balanced time for registrants to do business with the various exhibitors and precious time for attendees to meet and network with top executives in this industry.”
This was the fifth year for the African American Golf EXPO & Forum that has previously been held over the years in several other major including Atlanta (GA), Charlotte (NC), Louisville (KY) and Palm Beach County (FL) —but Orlando was definitely a BIG HIT with this year’s attendees. The 77th session of the PGA Show attracted 33,000 people, its biggest audience ever since 2019.
