LOS ANGELES, CA (November 23, 2021) — Capital One’s The Match, the premier, live-event golf series that has raised more than $30 million in support of various charities and initiatives over the years, will benefit the APGA Tour (Advocates Pro Golf Association Tour) among several non-profit organizations, as part of the upcoming holiday weekend showdown between PGA TOUR rivals Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau.

The Turner Sports production will be televised exclusively on TNT on the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 26, with live coverage of the 12-hole match beginning at 4 pm ET from Wynn Golf Course on the Las Vegas strip.

The broadcast will include references to the APGA Tour, which has become a force in its mission of driving greater diversity in the sport of golf, growing from three events in 2010 to seven last year and 14 in 2021.  The tour provides opportunities for minorities to further develop skills in pursuit of their dreams of playing at the highest levels of the sport. With the support of the PGA TOUR, the APGA Tour conducts player development programs and other initiatives to support players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), among other top-tier amateurs and professionals.

In addition to the $30 million in fundraising, the series has generated more than 10 million meal donations through Feeding America (r). Donations will also be made Shriner’s Hospital and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Several other philanthropic initiatives will be part of the broadcast.

Additionally, as part of its commitment to advance socioeconomic mobility in underserved communities, Capital One has provided $15 million in community investments and grants to small businesses across the country to help them throughout the pandemic. In conjunction with this event, Capital One announced it will be providing additional grants to help Black business owners stabilize and expand their businesses through an ongoing partnership with AEO (Association for Enterprise Opportunity).
