Prestigious CBCF Program Opens Doors for the Next Generation of Black Leaders
The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation is once again investing in the future of Black leadership through its prestigious 2026–2027 Fellowship Program. With applications closing on May 1, 2026, this highly respected initiative offers emerging scholars and professionals an extraordinary opportunity to bring their expertise to Capitol Hill while shaping public policy and driving meaningful change.
Designed for post-graduate scholars, the fellowship provides a year-long immersive experience in leadership, public service, and policy development. The program runs from August 24, 2026, through September 3, 2027, giving participants the opportunity to work directly in the legislative arena while expanding their professional networks and policy expertise.
Two Distinguished Fellowship Tracks
The CBCF offers two exceptional pathways for aspiring leaders:
- Congressional Fellowship
- John R. Lewis Social Justice Fellowship
Both programs are designed to prepare the next generation of policymakers, advocates, and thought leaders committed to advancing equity, justice, and opportunity.
