The perfect Caribbean destination for winter sun.
With low infection rates and excellent health services (that deliver all COVID-related treatment FREE of charge), Cuba is one of the world’s safest destinations, according to Brooklyn, NY’s CeVacations.com.
When visiting Cuba, tourists will discover its distinctive culture, nature, history, magic, and centuries-old traditions. Known as the Pearl of the Antilles, this tropical island is the result of the blend of multiple cultures, fusion of races and customs that transitioned into one of the most exotic and fascinating Caribbean destinations.
Your trips to Cuba will provide you with treasured memories of its people. The Cubans are friendly, talented in music, art, dance, architecture and many other trades. They enjoy holiday celebrations and rejoice in cooking their ethnic foods and favorite drinks. According to CubaTravel.cu, the annual carnivals, charangas, the parrandas, the countryside parties and the patron saint’s days are times when you can witness some of Cuba’s more awesome gastronomy. Special meals are made using Buñuelos, Tamales and Roasted Pork, always accompanied by a good coffee, a Cuba Libre, a Daiquiri, Mojito, or Piña Colada drink.
In 2016, when the former US President, Barack Obama, announced that he was easing travel and trade restrictions on US citizens wishing to visit and do business in Cuba, a frisson ran through the industry in the rest of the Caribbean. This opened the door to a new height of tourism for Cuba. Caribean-Council.org reported that Cuba’s then Minister of Tourism, Manuel Marrero, said that in the first quarter of 2017 visitor arrivals grew by 14% compared to the same period in 2016; a trend, he said, that he expected to continue throughout the summer months because of the increased in airlines servicing the country.
“For US visitors, we expect a return to more relaxed travel and with an ever-growing number of private businesses can offer fully legal itineraries with an even greater choice of experiences and boutique accommodations to choose from,” says the newsletter of the Brooklyn, NY-based agency.
“Several travel agencies serving Cuba have been busy during lockdown adding to a range of experiences and tours many of which now support local communities including Black Lives Matter and other marginalized groups. Cuban tourism businesses have been busy making use of the downtime to spruce up the city and its top bars, restaurants and other venues and attractions.”
According to CeVacations, Havana has never looked better. With low visitor numbers and robust health protocols, there has never been a better time to visit Cuba.
