Tiger Woods didn’t win this year’s PGA Championship. But, as close as he came, it was terrific to watch the former world number one in action! The tournament was super exciting and millions of fans watch.  The PGA Championship was packed to the brim with spectators, too, and large crowds followed Tiger’s every movement throughout his rounds.
Over the years, we’ve watched the rise, and the fall, of this champion. We’ve seen him married, become a doting dad, divorced, arrested, in other life-changing situations. His star has both shinned and been smudged as he battled to stay at the top of the game. His body seemingly had forsaken following his numerous back surgeries. His swing changed and all hell broke loose. Now, it looks like a comeback is on the way for this once great master of the greens.
Yes, it is exciting to consider the possibility of his rise back to his rightful place as world number one golfer. It is also exciting to hear the crowds road with a  sound like this:
That sound, was Tiger hitting his shot out of trouble on the ninth hole, and it’s a good recount of his Sunday performance. It is remarkable that, through the first nine holes, he didn’t make it onto a single fairway.
Watching Tiger’s final-round, a 6-under 64, there was definitely an issue brewing between him and his driver. An issue that would not go away, causing him much worry. He attempted to remedy the situation using classic approach shots and elite putting, making just 23 putts on an entire day.
In the end, Brooks Koepka, 14 years his junior, took the championship. His shots were dead on, and he excellently recovered those that missed their mark. This is what made his win happen, although a very close battle with Tiger. Perhaps next time, Tiger.
