85, made his transition at home in Oakland, CA, in the presence of his wife of 53 years, Dolores Vitero Presley, on June 22, 2020.
Ed is survived by daughter Kim Renee Presley of San Leandro, son James Edward Presley of San Francisco, granddaughter Jamie EmmaRose Gladney-Presley of San Leandro, niece Alma Sweet Luckett of Vero Beach, FL. He is also survived by sisters and brother-in-law, many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and one great-grandnephew, along with many, many friends. He will always be loved and remembered by his family and friends.
Ed was an ardent golfer and had a passion for introducing this skill to youth in the underserved areas of the East Bay. He was a member of Western States Golf Association (WSGA) for many years and served as junior golf chairperson and area vice-president. He also served as a board member for National Minority Junior Golf Scholarship Association (NMJGSA), later renamed the Bill Dickey Scholarship Association. He created Presley Tours, monthly golf tournaments for senior golfers which benefitted many junior golf programs.
Contributions in his memory may be made to American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. During this time of COVID-19, no memorial services are being planned. Arrangements by the Neptune Society.
