Sharing a few thoughts with her friends and fans, Howard reached out on her Facebook page to say that she, “Just want to thank everyone for taking the time to reach out with words of encouragement….It means a lot.”

Following her cut the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic, held May 4-8, 2016 at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Capitol Hill in Prattville, Alabama, Howard remained beautiful and upbeat.  Ariya Jutanugarn reigned with the win:  70-69-63-72, total 274 (-14), winning $91,733.

“Have to say that playing out here in Alabama was a heck of an experience for me. Obviously wanted to perform so much better, though I’m grateful for the opportunity to have finally played on the big stage after dreaming about it, since I was 8. I look forward to improvement and getting more rounds on the LPGA under my belt. In the meantime, I’m on to the next. Charlotte….”

“Thanks Robbi for continuing to grow with me. And thank you to #‎Yokohama for putting on a great event at an even better course! See you next year!! #‎Alabama #‎GolfChannel.” (via Facebook)

Three years ago, at 18-years-old, Howard made history as the youngest Black female pro-golfer.   The professional picked up the game of golf at the tender age of 6, with the help of her father Robert Howard, a former tennis player at Temple University.  Highly spiritual and gracious, she enjoys sharing her skills with youth, conducting golf clinics and serves as a strong role model.  Her history is accumulating lots of exciting experiences and destinations and her travels have taken her around the world.  As a youngster, In 2010, Howard became the first Black female player to compete in the Junior Ryder Cup.  In 2016, she finished T43 to earn LPGA Membership.

Since that time Howard has grown into a lovely woman with a strong sense of self and she is loved and supported by many, including Sisters Across America, and organization that provides support and mentoring for young minority women who pursue a professional career in golf.  Through Howard’s successes, she went on to grace the cover of the African American Golfer’s Digest and, among her list of  accomplishments, that of being named among Golf.com’s Most Beautiful Women in Golf series.

Surely, Ms. Howard will continue to be salted for her efforts and professionalism for years to come.  To show your support and keep up with the golfer at her Facebook page.
