Jim Beatty, president of Jim Beatty Golf Ventures and founder of the African American Golf EXPO and Forum, announced today that the EXPO is teaming with the Graham Stanley Advertising Agency of White Plains, NY to promote the EXPO growth and increase national exposure.  Graham Stanley agency is helmed by Larry D. Woodard one of the most respected names in the advertising world. Known as the agency “that can help you think”, Graham Stanley will be involved in securing sponsors and media placement.

Larry D. Woodard is a well-respected advertising executive and is President and CEO of the award-winning marketing firm, Graham Stanley Advertising.  Introduced to the game as a very early age by his father, an avid golfer over the course of his life, Woodard began playing early and has used golf as a gateway to doing business with corporations around the world. 15 years ago, he founded Larry Woodard Golf (LWG) to use his connections in golf and business to raise money for charity. Over the past decade and-a-half LWG has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for non-profits including The V Foundation for Cancer Research, The Boys and Girls Club, The Y, Feeding America, The First Tee and others.

Larry is also known as the man behind the famous Oprah car giveaway  when Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car

About The African American Golf EXPO and Forum

The EXPO was developed by Jim Beatty Golf Ventures, an Omaha, Nebraska based company to provide information, access and identify opportunities for African Americans and people of color the $100 Billion Golf industry as well as introducing people to the sport in order to Grow the Game. The EXPO has been held in Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC. 

The focus of the 4-day event includes panel discussion and presentations on jobs, careers and business opportunities in the Golf Industry. Bringing attention to the role of women in leadership positions in the industry is also a theme of the EXPO

To date over 1,000 people have attended the event which has had an economic impact of over $1M Dollars.
