Curry is very excited about all of the brands that make up Thirty Ink, but at the heart of his efforts are the brands Eat.Learn.Play, the charitable arm that he and his with Ayesha launched 5 years ago, and Underrated which provides opportunities to underserved communities.

The goal for the Curry’s is to successfully work to transform the school experience for a generation of Oakland, California, students. The focus is in three primary areas: food security, access to education and a good place for kids to play. Their efforts have provided twenty-five million meals over the past 5 years, prepared by over one hundred local restaurants. Their aim is to meet kids where they are, giving them the resources that they need to have an opportunity to succeed.

One of their upcoming endeavors in the Oakland area includes a five-hundred million dollar capital project to refurbish playgrounds to give kids a good place to play. The other commitment is twenty-five million dollars over the next 5 years, offering professional tutors for 2,000-3,000 students who need help improving their reading skills in a one-on-one setting.

Underrated was created to help high school athletes with their recruiting needs and help increase their visibility. Curry said that it “creates opportunities for the underrepresented, underserved and underestimated.”

Underrated started with basketball but has expanded to golf, which is his passion away from the winning championships in the NBA. Using regional events across the USA, Underrated Golf identifies and showcases talented young golfers. The best twenty-six boys and girls earn twenty-six spots to complete in a season ending with the Curry Cup championship.  For the first time, the new tour, called UNDERRATED Golf Europe teed off at Walton Heath in London, May 29-31. The Tour helps to expand the participants exposure and provides opportunities for the next generation of golfers.

Invited Black journalists celebrated at the Stephen Curry & Thirty ink event.

Stephen Curry has a great reputation with the media. The overwhelming sentiment among the Black journalists in the room was that meeting him in person and witnessing the incredible work he’s doing for underserved communities and beyond far surpassed his already stellar reputation.
