The Players Challenge Presented by BODYARMOR Sports Drink will take place on Sunday, April 6, at Shadow Creek as part of the T-Mobile Match Play presented by MGM Rewards. This nine-hole, two-person team skills challenge will feature professional football stars and LPGA greats, adding an exciting element to the final day of the tournament. The event will take place prior to the championship match and will be featured during the live GOLF Channel broadcast. Hope Means Nevada has been chosen as the beneficiary and will receive a $25,000 donation from MGM Resorts International.
Fans will have the chance to witness the Players Challenge firsthand by purchasing tickets at www.axs.com. Tickets are priced at $39.98 for adults, excluding handling fees, while children under 15 years of age receive complimentary access.
The Players Challenge scramble will feature two dynamic teams: Davante Adams and Cheyenne Woods will face off against Sauce Gardner and Natalie Gulbis. Gardner, a two-time All-Pro cornerback for the New York Jets, earned Defensive Rookie of the Year honors in 2022 and was the first rookie cornerback to be named first-team All-Pro since Ronnie Lott in 1981. Woods, a former professional golfer from 2012-2021, won the 2014 Volvik RACV Ladies Masters and recently entered the Wake Forest Sports Hall of Fame. Gulbis, a Las Vegas resident and MGM Rewards ambassador, is a longtime LPGA Tour player with three victorious U.S. Solheim Cup appearances and a win at the 2007 Evian Masters.
The T-Mobile Match Play presented by MGM Rewards returns for its fifth edition from April 2-6, 2025, bringing together 64 of the world’s top female professional golfers. Defending champion Nelly Korda will compete against an elite field, including Danielle Kang, Brooke Henderson, Lydia Ko, Minjee Lee, Hinako Shibuno, Jenny Shin, Ina Yoon, and Rose Zhang. The tournament follows a round-robin format over the first three days, narrowing the field to 16 players for a single-elimination bracket.
