The week was bright for pro golfer Shaster Averyhardt who won the National Women’s Golf Association (NWGA) Eggland’s Best Ladies Pro Tour contested March 30-April 4 on the Oaks Course at Stonegate Golf Club at Solivita, Kissimmee, Fla.
Over the 3-day event the Bradenton, Fla., resident shot 70, 70, 73 for a total of 213 strokes earning herself the $2,000 prize.
Averyhardt keenly navigated her way through the Ron Garl-designed 18-hole par-72 course which encompasses more than 7,000 yards with multiple tees for players of varied levels.
The Jackson State University Alum has played in two pro events this year and ranks at No. 4. On day 3 Averyhardt was paired with Hinkley, Ohio’s Jessica Porvasnik (-3) and Jupiter, Florida’s Loretta Giovannettone(-2). Thus far this year, Averyhardt has tournament earnings of $2,360 and a professional scoring average of 71.67.
