(LONDON – April 24, 2024) UNDERRATED Golf, the sports and lifestyle brand of four-time NBA champion and two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry, announced today that five-time European Cup winner Gareth Bale has joined UNDERRATED Golf Europe as a newly appointed ambassador for the upcoming 2024 season. The inaugural UNDERRATED Golf European Golf Tour in partnership with United Airlines will kick-off at Walton Heath Golf Course outside of London, May 29-31.
As ambassador, Bale shares in the mission to provide access and opportunities to junior golfers from every community by balancing participation in the sport to truly reflect our society. Utilizing his vast relationships in the region, Bale will recruit young athletes and enter them into the local tournaments throughout the tour under his name, guidance and support. Bale will join Henni Koyack, Ladies European Tour professional golfer, as ambassador.

My role as an ambassador allows me to fuse my enthusiasm for the sport with my passion for creating multi-faced sport opportunities for youth within Wales, and I look forward to seeing the young athlete’s skills when they step out on the greens at Walton Heath this May. ”
Bale is a long-standing advocate for junior golfers, previously creating and hosting the annual Gareth Bale Festival of Sport, an elite Welsh junior golf event that highlights the importance of non-early specialization in sport and provides the opportunity to compete on the national stage. Bale also acts as Global Ambassador for The R&A in support of its activities to inspire new audiences around the world into playing golf.
UNDERRATED Golf is a purpose-driven business endeavor with the overarching commitment to provide equity, access and opportunity to student athletes from every community. Over the past two seasons, UNDERRATED Golf has hosted 10 tournaments throughout the US. With the tour’s expansion to Europe, UNDERRATED Golf will continue to provide a viable pathway forward for everyone, providing training, equipment, networking events, career guidance, panel discussions featuring leaders of their respective fields and more. UNDERRATED Golf will have players compete hand-in-hand with their peers who currently represent the vast majority of today’s golfers, and in the coming years, will continue to grow the participant pool, ultimately creating a global footprint with the world’s best prospects.
The top boy and girl winners from the London tournament will emerge from the tour and automatically win entry to compete for the 2024 Curry Cup at the UNDERRATED Tour Championship, September 2-4.
