The African American Golfer’s Digest stands as the foremost print publication and online hub in the nation, earning the trust of over 80,000 readers and subscribers. Since its inception in 2003, readers have relied on the magazine to deliver up-to-the-minute news and information that aligns with their interests. Notably, the publication was the first to report on the passing of golfing legend Lee Elder. As the pioneer who shattered racial barriers by becoming the first Black golfer to compete in the Masters, Elder’s significant contributions paved the way for numerous others, including the esteemed World Golf Hall of Famer Tiger Woods.
“I have a strong love for our Black golfing community, and it is always been the mission of the African American Golfer’s Digest to provide news and information that is relevant to our specific interests. Many times our pro and amateur golfers, along with students, educators, trainers, businesspersons and entrepreneurs do not receive the public media recognition they deserve. I am on a mission to change that.” —Debert Cook, Publisher
