A quarter-century of greatness, complete with the peaks and valleys inherent to any career spanning decades. PGA Tour recaps how Tiger Woods turned pro 25 years ago with two simple words: “HELLO, WORLD.”
Tiger immediately lived up to the hype after turning pro. He had a hole-in-one in his debut. He was the 54-hole leader in his third start. And he needed just five starts to collect his first win, in a playoff over future World Golf Hall of Famer Davis Love III at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.
Tiger won again two starts later. He needed just seven starts to qualify for the TOUR Championship, which is reserved for the season’s top 30 money winners.
Eighty-two wins and fifteen majors later, you can relive it all with this timeline of Tiger’s career. Read more at https://www.pgatour.com/long-form/2021/02/15/tiger-woods-25-years-turned-pro-career-timeline-the-genesis-invitational.html
