Jeff Dunovant Discusses Race, Equality & Sports Among Youth in America

Jeff Dunovant is CEO for the National Black Golf Hall of Fame, Head Golf Pro at the Charlie Yates Golf Course, and the Assistant Director for The First Tee® of East Lake in Atlanta, Ga., This strong leader has decades of experience working in the golf industry and his skills are superb. In this episode of Golf Today with Golf Channel’s Damon Hack, Dunovant discusses promoting diversity among the youth in an honest conversation about social justice and having Black mentors while growing up playing golf.

Dunovant, known as “Jeff” among his many colleagues and friends, is also a Play Golf of America Participant and involved with Welcome to Golf Month.  Dunovant’s expertise and skill in merchandising at his course serves customers from all walks of life, and, is pivotal in the continued growth and success of its operations.

In 1993, Dunovant became a Professional Golfers Association (PGA) member, making him and his father (Harold Dunovant) the first and only African American father and son PGA members.
