USGA Pathways Internship Program Now Open for Applications

USGA Pathways Internship Program is now open. The 10-day immersive experience exposes 20 diverse college and graduate students to different careers in golf by providing training, education, and networking opportunities. Interns will network with key golf industry leadership as well as local business executives from outside the industry through professional development panels including:

  • Multimedia and broadcasting,
  • Corporate Partner C-Suite Executives,
  • DE&I in Sports,
  • Women in Leadership.

Applicants should be students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university and have completed at least one year of college. Prior golf experience is not required.

The 2025 curriculum will include a series of classroom and behind-the-scenes training sessions at the U.S. Open as well as direct exposure to key championship departments including player services, merchandising, operations, media and hospitality. Interns will also gain networking opportunities with key golf industry leadership as well as local business executives from outside the industry through professional development panels including:

There are more than two million jobs within the $84 billion golf industry, but only a small fraction are held by those from underrepresented communities. As part of the ongoing effort to address those imbalances, the USGA and The Country Club launched the Lee Elder Internship Program at the U.S. Open in 2022.
