2024 Masters Prize Money Breakdown

by AAGD Staff

Sunday, April 14 at the 2024 Masters promises not just the iconic green jacket for the winner, but also a record-breaking purse. Augusta National Golf Club revealed that this year’s tournament will boast a $20 million total prize pool, the highest in its history, surpassing the previous record by $2 million.

The champion will walk away with $3.6 million, a $360,000 increase from last year’s winner, Jon Rahm. Even the runner-up’s prize of $2.16 million exceeds what previous winners like Danny Willett (2016) and Jordan Spieth (2015) received.

It’s not just the winner who will see a significant payday; the top three finishers will all take home seven-figure sums, with even those in the top 11 earning at least $500,000. The rewards continue down the leaderboard, with every player in the top 36 guaranteed a six-figure payout.

Even those who make the cut but don’t crack the top 50 will still receive compensation, albeit decreasing from the $50,400 awarded to the 50th place finisher.
