Steve Williams, jilted caddie of Tiger Woods, fired away at his former boss in a new book, claiming that Woods treated him “like I was his slave.”
Woods, Williams writes in “Out of the Rough,” used to expect Williams to do things like pick up his clubs, which seems to be fairly high on a caddie’s job description. Now, years after their bustup, it still rankles Williams, whose comment set off ESPN’s easily set-off-able Stephen A. Smith on “First Take.”

“Six to eight million dollars for a caddie, okay?” he said, drawing out the word “caddie” for a few beats. “I understand this guy has accomplished a lot as acaddie, but you’re a caddie for a reason.
“Fall the hell back.”
