‘You were the only one I ever loved.’ claims Tiger Woods’ former mistress Rachel Uchitel, who also openly reveals one of the last text messages she received from the former World No. 1 golfer before his then-wife Elin Nordegren uncovered the illicit affair, according to DailyMail.com.
It’s been 10-years since the scandal rocked the pro golfer’s world. Now, the infamous mistress shares in her first interview prior to the release of a two-part HBO special titled “Tiger.” The documentary aims to give a “revealing look at the rise, fall, and epic comeback” of the pro-golfer.
In 2009, Uchitel was the first of a dozen women who were identified as Woods’ mistresses. The uncovering of the sordid affair led to a tidal wave of criticism throughout the sports world along with the loss of several major, lucrative sponsorships by Woods. On camera, Uchitel, a former nightclub hostess, reveals that Tiger Woods’ said to her that he felt ‘recharged’ when they were together because he could unload his problems onto her. Uchitel says Woods called their time together ‘plugging in’ because she would energize him, DailyMail.com revealed.
In the initial text, Uchitel describes via the outlet: “He said something like when can I see you again. It was intimidating. This was Tiger Woods. I knew he was married, I knew he had responsibilities, but he said I want you to fly to Orlando, then I will come see you there.”
The affair led to a series of downfalls for Woods both socially, professionally, and financially, as golf fans around the world watched media news reports release names and plaster the faces of women who claimed to be among his list of mistresses. And one can only imagine Woods’ mental anguish, where on January 16, after weeks of sordid allegations regarding the star golfer’s extramarital affairs, RadarOnline.com reported that Woods had enrolled in the Gentle Path program at Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services, in Hattiesburg, Miss., to be treated for sex addiction.
In her first interview, Uchitel opens up about Woods’ life and their trysts, claiming that he preferred her company because she would ask questions about his life – unlike his now-former wife, Swedish model Elin Nordegren, according to the DailyMail.com. Uchitel recalls how she would speak to Woods for hours on end about the personal details and relationships in his life, mainly the impact his late father Earl Woods had on him.
Uchitel tells quite a bit about the relationship and also reveals that Woods texted her ‘you were the only one I ever loved’. But minutes later Nordegren used his phone to trick her into admitting they were having an affair.
Upon discovering the affair Nordegren and Woods got into a ferocious argument that led to her chasing him out of the house with a golf club and him crashing his SUV into a tree, says Uchitel in the interview.
Woods arranged for a confidentiality settlement and told Uchitel to ‘get as much as you can’ from his lawyers, she claims.
The documentary reportedly will show Uchitel sharing how she first locked eyes with Woods, then also 45, at a New York nightclub, where he allegedly asked for her number and texted her minutes later.
The first part of “Tiger” is available on Sunday, January 10 at 9:00pm ET on HBO and HBO Max.
