Valentino Dixon was at Emirates Golf Club, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, standing on the 9th hole in October 2022 with a drawing he completed while wrongly imprisoned. The gifted artist says, “Anything is possible, all you have to do is believe.”
Convicted in 1991, Dixon was given back his innocence and eventually exonerated in 2018 by the Erie County District Court in Buffalo, N.Y., who vacated the murder conviction for which Dixon was serving a 39-years-to-life sentence. Today, at age 49, Dixon continues to craft artistic works using colored pencils to create meticulously detailed golf-scapes. Although Dixon does not play golf, he has found a passion for the game through his art.
