LPGA 2022 Section Of The Year Award Winners Ashaunta Epps and Mackenzie Mack

August 23, 2022 – The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Professionals membership has selected the recipients of the annual section winners. Among the roster are LPGA Professionals Ashaunta Epps and Mackenzie Mack.

Ashaunta Epps joined the LPGA in 2017 and currently serves as LPGA Professionals Southeast Section President. Epps is only the second Black American to hold the office in 44 years. Epps is Director of Golf for the A Perfect Swing Golf Association and previously served as the LPGA’s Southeast Section Secretary. She also serves as an instructor for the LPGA Leadership Academy, the LPGA Golf Academy, and is an LPGA/USGA Girls Golf Site Director. The African American Golfers Hall of Fame Inductee has been recognized nationally as an Outstanding Leader in Golf by the African American Golfer’s Digest and won countless local and national golf competitions.

Mackenzie Mack Mackenzie, a current resident of Carlsbad, CA, was awarded a full golf scholarship to Indiana State University (ISU) where she became the first Black woman to compete as a member of the Women’s Golf Team. Graduating ISU in 2010 with a major in Marketing and minors in Finance and Spanish and achieved magna cum laude honors, she received a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the ISU Scott College of Business in 2011. In July 2022, after successfully completed the Leadership Rotational Program at Callaway Golf Mack stepped into her new role as Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Engagement.
