Before Bradley’s appointment, it was anticipated that either Stewart Cink or former Masters champion Fred Couples would lead Team USA if Woods declined the role. Cink expressed no surprise at Woods’ decision, commenting, “Since he’s stepped into the board position, the PGA Tour is pretty busy right now, and he’s got a lot going on with his injuries and recovery.
