On November 18, the Tampa chapters of Women in Sports and Entertainment (WISE) and the National Association of Black Sports Professionals (NABSP) joined forces to present an inspiring event featuring Clemmie Perry, Founder of Women of Color Golf (WOCG). Attendees had the opportunity to network over food and drinks at the Wentworth Golf & Country Club, Tarpon Spring, Fla., while listening to Perry’s compelling journey in golf and her motivations for creating WOCG.

Perry shared her story of how she discovered golf, the challenges she faced, and her vision for empowering women and women of color through the sport. She also recounted her experience attending the Women’s Golf event at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, providing a firsthand perspective on golf’s growing global influence.

“The event provided WOCG with an opportunity to discuss the importance of creating an environment for women and women of color to learn and understand the business benefits of golf and its global impact,” said Perry.

The evening concluded with a fireside chat where Perry reflected on her family’s enduring contributions to the Tampa Bay community. The conversation left attendees inspired and motivated to embrace golf not only as a sport but as a tool for personal and professional growth.
