Northern California Minority Junior Golf Scholarship Association celebrated their glorious Silver Anniversary in grand style on July 11, 2014 in Sacramento River City.
The fundraiser, scramble format, golf tournament went off well, as expected, at 8:00 a.m. for a shotgun start at the Wildhorse Golf Club in Davis, California.
Golf Classic Co-Directors included Heman Smith and Paul Pradia. Assistant Golf Classic Directors were James Curtis and Nathan Allen. All who are dedicated, long time supports of the NCMJGSA.
Ladies flight, L-R: Torri James, Maria Davis (winner, shot net 66), Portia Kenney, Eunice Coffey. Davis is a 15-year old junior golfer from Vallejo, Calif., and a member of Sistas On The Links. She’s currently a high school junior.
The mission of the NCMJGSA is to enrich the lives of the minority and underprivileged youth in the Greater Sacramento Area by exposing them to positive social experiences that promotes character development and inspirational values through a Collegiate Academic Education and the wonderful game of golf.
