Get ready for a thrilling week of golf as the Advocates Professional Golf Association (APGA) Tour rolls into Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania for its tenth event of the 2025 seasonโ€”the Jefferson Health APGA Classic at The 1912 Club, taking place August 3โ€“5.

The action-packed week kicks off on Sunday, August 3, with practice rounds, an exciting Pro-Am, and an inspiring Youth Golf Clinic. Then, the competition heats up with 36 holes of tournament play on Monday and Tuesday (August 4โ€“5), where 56 APGA Tour players will battle it out for their share of the $80,000 purseโ€”the fifth-largest on the APGA schedule this year. The winner will walk away with $24,000 and 500 Cisco Cup Series points, adding to the intensity of the season-long race.

Now in its second year, the Jefferson Health APGA Classic is a key stop on the Cisco Cup Series, showcasing elite talent, fierce competition, and the mission-driven spirit of the APGA.

Founded in 2010, the APGA is a nonprofit organization committed to making the game of golf more inclusive and accessible for all.

WHO:

A field of 56 players, including many of the top players on the APGA Tour, will compete in the Jefferson Health APGA Classic. Notable players include:

  • Zachary Juhaszย โ€“ Bethlehem, Pa. native who placed 22ndย in the inaugural Jefferson Health APGA Classic and made his APGA debut in 2021 at Bluestone Country Club in Valley Forge. He began playing golf as a sophomore at Freedom High School, where he was named the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference MVP.
  • Matthew and Michael Vitalย โ€“ Twin brothers from Bethlehem, Pa. are 2023 Liberty High School graduates and returning juniors to the Temple University menโ€™s golf team. Matthew Vital won the Boys 12-13 age division of the 2019 Drive, Chip & Putt Championship at Augusta National Golf Club and was the 2023 Pennsylvania State Junior Amateur champion. At age 15, Matthew set the Reading Country Club course record with a 62 in a 2021 Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour event, eclipsing Sam Sneadโ€™s 18-hole course record of 63 carded in the 1949 Reading Open.
  • Chase Johnsonย โ€“ Barberton, Ohio native, Boynton Beach, Fla. resident and Kent State University graduate won the inaugural Jefferson Health APGA Classic and is the APGA Tourโ€™s two-time reigning Player of the Year. He was the only APGA golfer to play in the 2025 U.S. Open, beating out PGA TOUR stars Rickie Fowler and Max Homa via a playoff in a U.S. Open Final (Sectional) Qualifying to earn his berth. 2025 Cisco APGA Black History Month Classic (at TPC Sawgrass) champion and three-time APGA Tour winner in 2024. Leader in the 2025 APGAโ€™s Jeff Dailey points standings and second in the Cisco Cup Series standings.
  • Kamaiu Johnson โ€“ย Oviedo, Fla. resident is one of two golfers towin twice on the 2025 APGA Tour โ€“ in consecutive events in June at the APGA Juneteenth Classic in Los Angeles and the APGA at TPC Scottsdale (Arizona). He has made five PGA TOUR starts. He ranks third in the 2025 APGA Jeff Dailey points and Cisco Cup Series standings.
  • Luis Gagneย โ€“ Orlando, Fla. resident and LSU golf product (a past college roommate of PGA TOUR star Sam Burns) was the low amateur at the 2018 U.S. Open and also played in the 2019 and 2021 U.S. Opens. In 2025,ย he won this weekโ€™s APGA Two-Man Classic at TPC Louisiana (with partner Willie Mack III),ย finished runner-up at the APGAโ€™s season-opening Farmers Insurance Invitational and the APGA at Magnolia Grove, and placed T3 at the APGA at TPC Deere Run two weeks ago. He is fourth in the APGAโ€™s Jeff Dailey points standings and fifth in the Cisco Cup Series standings.
  • Jaime Lopez Rivarola โ€“ย Buenos Aires, Argentina native and University of Georgia product is a two-time APGA Tour winner who most recently captured the APGA at TPC San Antonio in March. He is fifth in the APGAโ€™s season-long Jeff Dailey points standings and fourth in the Cisco Cup Series standings.
  • Willie Mack III โ€“ย ย Flint, Mich. native and Orlando, Fla. resident is a 16-time APGA Tourwinner, the APGAโ€™s winningest active player. He has 10 PGA TOUR starts, and was the only APGA golfer to play in the 2024 U.S. Open.
  • Aaron Beverlyย โ€“ A Sacramento resident and two-time APGA Tour winner who made his only PGA TOUR start at the Tiger Woods-hosted Genesis Invitational in 2022 as a recipient of the tournamentโ€™s Charlie Sifford Memorial Exemption. Currently ninth in the APGAโ€™s Jeff Dailey points standings and 12th in the Cisco Cup Series standings.
  • Michael Bradhamย โ€“ Seven-time APGA Tour winner with seven career PGA TOUR starts. The San Antonio, Texas native tied for third at his hometown event in March, the APGA at TPC San Antonio, and won the APGA at Magnolia Grove on April 1. Currently sixth in the APGAโ€™s Jeff Dailey points standings and eighth in the Cisco Cup Series standings.
  • Kevin Hallย โ€“ Cincinnati native was the first African American to play college golf at Ohio State, serving as a co-captain during his junior (2002-03) and senior (2003-04) years. He made his PGA TOUR debut as the Charlie Sifford Memorial Exemption recipient at the 2017 Genesis Open.
  • Gregory Odom Jr.ย โ€“ Memphis, Tennessee native and 2024 Howard University graduate was the 2024 Mastercard APGA Tour Championship winner.
  • Troy Taylor IIย โ€“ Westerville, Ohio native and Michigan State graduateย placed seventh in the inaugural Jefferson Health APGA Classic. He tied for third place in Juneโ€™s APGA Juneteenth Classic in Los Angeles.ย In 2024, he was overall champion of the APGA Farmers Insurance Fall Series, recorded his first professional win in the APGA at Seaview (NJ) event and tallied six top-10 finishes in nine APGA Tour starts.
  • Everett Whiten Jr. โ€“ Chesapeake, Virginia native and Alabama resident played collegiately at Howard University and holds three top-six finishes on the 2025 APGA Tour, including a season-best, runner-up finish two weeks ago at the APGA at TPC Deere Run. He is seventhย in the APGAโ€™s Jeff Dailey points standings and sixth in the Cisco Cup Series standings.
  • Wyatt Worthington IIย โ€“ Reynoldsburg, Ohio resident and three-time APGA winner. He has made five PGA TOUR starts, three of which have come in the PGA Championship: 2023 (at Oak Hill), 2022 (at Southern Hills) and 2016 (at Baltusrol), when he became the second African American PGA of America Golf Professional to earn a PGA Championship berth.

CISCO CUP STANDINGS AND JEFF DAILEY POINTS:

Cisco Cup Standings: This ranking system tracks player performance throughout the APGA season. Players earn points based on their finishes in designated APGA Tour events. The player accumulating the most points by season’s end is awarded the Cisco Cup, which often includes additional benefits such as sponsor exemptions.

Jeff Dailey Points: Named in honor of former Farmers Insuranceยฎ CEO Jeff Dailey, this system measures players’ consistency and overall performance across all APGA Tour competitions, including the Cisco Cup season, the APGA Farmers Insurance Fall Series, and two Cisco Invitational events. The player with the highest combined points receives the Jeff Dailey APGA Tour Player of the Year Award, which includes a $25,000 bonus.

ABOUT THE APGA TOUR:

The APGA Tour was established in 2010 as a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring an inclusive future through the game of golf. The APGA Tour Board of Directors works to accomplish this by hosting and operating professional golf tournaments, player development programs, mentoring programs and by introducing the game to inner city young people.
