by AAGD Staff

The 20-team lineup for the 2025 PNC Championship is officially set, with major champions Stewart Cink, Tom Lehman, Davis Love III, and Nick Price securing the final spots. The event will take place December 18–21 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Orlando, Grande Lakes. This year’s field features remarkable depth, including eight former world No. 1 players and six past champions. Reigning champion Bernhard Langer, a record six-time winner, returns again to lead a group of 20 professionals who collectively hold more than 40 major titles and over 900 international victories. The only newcomer to the field is 41-year-old Gary Woodland, who made a successful return to professional golf following brain tumor surgery in 2023. Woodland will compete alongside his father, Dan.

Three women return to the field after competing in 2024. Nelly Korda reunites with her father, Petr, while Annika Sorenstam again teams up with her 14-year-old son and crowd favorite, Will McGee. Also returning is Izzi Stricker, the daughter of Steve Stricker and a standout sophomore at the University of Wisconsin, who captured both the Wisconsin Women’s Amateur Championship and the Wisconsin Women’s Match Play Championship this year.

Following Gary Player’s withdrawal, Lee Trevino becomes the oldest participant at age 86 and remains the only player to have competed in every edition of the PNC Championship. At the other end of the spectrum, the youngest amateur is Will McGee at 14, while the youngest professional is 27-year-old Nelly Korda.

IMG Executive Director Teo Sodeman expressed excitement about the talent set to compete, noting the field’s world-class caliber and the remarkable characters who have shaped golf’s history. He emphasized that the event aims to deliver another exceptional championship experience.

A full list of the 2025 teams includes iconic pairings such as John Daly and John Daly II, Jim Furyk and Tanner Furyk, Vijay Singh and Qass Singh, and many more across father-son, father-daughter, and mother-son duos.

Limited tickets remain available at pncchampionship.com. To preserve the event’s unique and intimate atmosphere, spectator capacity is intentionally limited. This year marks PNC Bank’s 14th year as title sponsor, following a recent multi-year renewal. Since being renamed the PNC Championship in 2020, the tournament has continued to celebrate elite golf and the family connections at its heart.

Broadcast coverage will air across NBC, GOLF Channel, and Peacock. The PNC Championship has grown significantly since its inaugural 1995 event, which featured 10 major champions and their sons. The modern field includes 20 major champions competing alongside relatives in a two-day, 36-hole scramble for the Willie Park Trophy. Eligibility requires each professional to have won a major championship or The Players Championship, while their partner must not hold professional Tour status.
