BOISE, Idaho — Joseph Bramlett delivered one of the standout performances of the third round at the 2026 Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron, firing a spectacular 9-under-par 62 at Hillcrest Country Club to surge up the leaderboard and finish at 14-under par through 54 holes.
The 37th Albertsons Boise Open is being contested August 13–16 at Hillcrest Country Club and serves as one of the premier events on the Korn Ferry Tour schedule. The tournament features 156 players competing for valuable points and positioning as they pursue PGA TOUR opportunities.
Bramlett’s third-round 62 was highlighted by an exceptional finish. According to the supplied scorecard, he played the final nine holes in 30 strokes, including birdies on Nos. 10, 12, 15 and 16 and a dramatic eagle on the par-5 17th. He closed with a par on the 18th.
That closing stretch helped turn an already strong round into a memorable one. Bramlett made the turn in 32 and continued attacking Hillcrest’s back nine, finishing with a 62 that moved him to 14-under par overall.
At the time captured by the tournament scorecard, Bramlett was listed T1 at 14-under, with his third-round 9-under score putting him firmly in contention heading into Sunday’s final round.
Bramlett entered the week with an established Korn Ferry Tour résumé. The Stanford product turned professional in 2010 and has been a professional golfer for more than a decade. He won the 2021 Korn Ferry Tour Championship, a victory that earned him PGA TOUR status.
The 2026 Albertsons Boise Open has produced another highly competitive leaderboard. Through 36 holes, Thomas Rosenmueller and Jackson Buchanan shared the lead at 14-under, while several players remained within striking distance. Kevin Tway, the 2013 Boise Open champion, also produced one of the tournament’s biggest second-round highlights by shooting a 10-under 61 that included a hole-in-one on the 17th hole.
By the conclusion of Saturday’s play, Ross Steelman had taken control of the tournament with a 7-under 64, reaching 20-under par after 54 holes. Hunter Eichhorn and Travis Trace were tied for second at 18-under. Steelman’s closing holes included an eagle at No. 16 and a birdie at No. 18.
Still, Bramlett’s 62 remains an important part of the tournament story. His ability to produce five birdies-or-better on the closing nine and finish with an eagle demonstrates the scoring opportunities available at Hillcrest when a player gets into rhythm.
The Albertsons Boise Open carries significance beyond the leaderboard. Since its inaugural event in 1990, the tournament has raised more than $45 million for charity, including more than $3 million from the 2026 event. That makes it the record-setting charity event on the Korn Ferry Tour.
The tournament also has a history of serving as a launching pad for future PGA TOUR stars. Past Albertsons Boise Open participants have included Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Wyndham Clark, Viktor Hovland, Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, Rickie Fowler and other players who went on to establish themselves at the highest level of professional golf.
The 2026 event combines professional golf with a major community celebration, including concerts following the first three rounds. This year’s entertainment lineup features Nelly, Counting Crows and HARDY, with the concert venue located adjacent to Hillcrest’s 18th fairway.
For Bramlett, however, the focus now shifts to the final round. After a 62 and a 14-under total through 54 holes, he has positioned himself for a potentially significant finish in Boise. His explosive closing stretch Saturday showed that he has the scoring ability to make another move when the final round begins.
