Jim Beatty, founder of the African American Golf EXPO and Forum announced that Tommy Burns Challenge Coins will be exhibiting at the EXPO January 21 and 22, 2026 at the Orange County Convention Center and other Orlando locales January 23 and 24. The EXPO is collocated with the PGA Show which attracted 33,000 people at its latest show held in January, 2025.
The Golf Challenge Coin (GCC) is a functional, innovative, and exciting product that can enhance fun and camaraderie among golfers. The GCC is specifically tailored for the golfing community and draws inspiration from the Military Challenge Coin tradition. The GCC is used among golfers, to challenge their buddies in a social setting.

Why The Golf Challenge Coin (GCC)?

GCC Rules:

But beware, if everyone responds with his/her coin, next round is on the individual who initiated the Coin Challenge. (Drinks can be non-alcoholic.)

The idea of the Golf Challenge Coin was inspired by the Military Challenge Coin. Tommy Burns served a 23+ year career in the US military and is intimately familiar with the sacred tradition of Military Challenge Coins.
Having initiated Coin Challenges and having been on the receiving end of Coin Challenges, he has experienced both the joy of winning and the disappointment of losing Coin Challenges.
