OMAHA, NE (January 1, 2026) — Jim Beatty, founder of the African American Golf EXPO and Forum, announced that the EXPO 2026 exhibition area will be named the DENISE and NATE HOWARD EXHIBITION CENTER in honor of his sister Denise Howard who had her homegoing on December 18, 2025. Denise Beatty Howard will be remembered for the joy and pride she found in attending several EXPO’s and related events over the years. She and husband Nate took great pride and cherished every opportunity to be present at several African American Golf EXPO & Forums together. “Being with her husband and her brother brought Denise happiness and purpose, and her supportive presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her,” said a condolence message from Debert Cook, publisher, African American Golfer’s Digest.
Nate Howard, Denise’s husband of 54 years will be the distinguished guest of honor at the official room dedication ceremony which will take place on January 21 in room W108 A/B at the Orange County Convention Center during the opening ceremonies of the African American Golf EXPO and Forum.
