Tiger Woods Foundation Secures Major $20 Million Pledge

Tiger Woods marked the 30th anniversary of his TGR Foundation with a major announcement about the organization’s future. At a celebration held at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida, Woods revealed that the foundation raised more than $50 million last year to support its education initiatives. The highlight of the evening came when the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation pledged $20 million to fund a new TGR Learning Lab in Atlanta, a significant expansion of the foundation’s efforts to empower students through education.

Woods, who founded the TGR Foundation in 1996 alongside his parents, said the legacy he values most is the work the foundation has done to positively impact young people’s lives. The TGR Learning Labs provide safe spaces and enrichment programs focused on science, technology, engineering, arts and math, helping students from underserved communities build skills and pursue their goals. The Atlanta facility is expected to be the next in a series of learning labs aimed at broadening educational access and opportunity.

Arthur Blank, owner of the Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta Drive GC in the TGL indoor golf league that Woods co-founded, spoke about his admiration for Woods’ commitment to purpose beyond his legendary athletic career. Blank said it is an honor to partner with someone who believes deeply in the power of education and community, and he looks forward to the impact the Atlanta learning lab will have.

The celebration also featured other supporters and moments recognizing the foundation’s achievements over three decades. As the TGR Foundation continues to expand its reach, Woods emphasized his excitement about working with partners to bring meaningful opportunities to more young people in communities that need them most.
