Black Wall Street Rally Golf Classic Unites Golfers Nationwide in Greenwood Spirit

by Byron Perry

For the 3rd year the Black Wall Street Rally Golf Classic welcomed golfers from throughout the U.S. to compete in the spirit of community and purpose that embodies the legacy of the historic Greenwood District.

The signature event held during the Black Wall Street Rally brought golfers from California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin, and Oklahoma to compete for a cash prize pot to the Men’s and Women’s Division Champions.  The Black Wall Street Rally is a motorcycle inspired multi-day festival created to teach and inspire visitors to the Greenwood District better known as ‘Black Wall Street’ to broaden the legacy toward the future.  The Black Wall Street Rally Golf Classic was created to provide resources to Junior male and female golfers from underserved communities via access to semi-private golf courses, membership to an indoor golf facility for year-round training, and sessions with a sports psychologist for competition readiness mental development.

Upon arrival at the 36-hole facility managed by Tulsa Golf each team received swag bags that for 2026 included a souvenir polo shirt, Black Wall Street Rally Golf Classic leather scorecard holders, MagnetFit towels with matching belt clips, sleeves of Renegade golf balls all inside logo adorned cross body bags provided by Bange Official Store.  Each woman participating also had a special swag item provided by black owned Radient Beauty and each man participating received On-Brands Dude Wipes products.

2026 Men’s Division Champions

The two-day golf event hosted by Page Belcher Golf Course featured a “Birdie Bash” on its first day as 2-person teams played from shortened tee lengths on the Olde Page 18-hole layout.  Although day 1 was billed as a ‘Fun Day’ of golf it became apparent that competing was the focus word with the teams on each side winning by just 1 Birdie on the score card over the 2nd Place team for each division.

Championship Friday of the Black Wall Street Rally Golf Classic featured a Ryder Cup style format that tested the resolve and camaraderie of the men’s and women’s teams.  The Stone Creek par 71 layout had (3) distinct sections – 6 holes of Best Ball, 6 holes of modified alternate shot and 6 holes of Individual Stroke play with the lowest score counting for the team.  Throughout the round players were either needling their playing partner’s shots or hyping them up in order to get the absolute best from them.  Immediately following the round players were treated to an on-site lunch while the Men’s and Ladies Champions were gifted with the signature Black Wall Street Rally Golf Classic Championship Belts and $1,500 in cash.  Friday evening featured a new event as players and guests were invited to “The Greenwood Collective” at Suite Shots Jenks high-tech golf entertainment complex.

The event featured vendors, a DJ, and a closest to the pin competition for a pair of Air Jordan golf shoes.  A major highlight of the evening was introductions of the groups from around the country along with the vendors highlighting the products on hand.  Sponsors for the 2026 Black Wall Street Rally Golf Classic were recognized which included Callaway Golf for the Quantum Max Driver and Stand Golf Bag that were prizes along with VoiceCaddie and the SC 4 Pro Launch monitor, Scheels Tulsa for the Air Jordan Golf shoes, the Tyler Lockett (LockettUp Foundation), ShipSticks the golf club travel shipping partner, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, BancFirst, Greenwood Golf, the Cherokee Nation, Mabrey Bank, Tinker Federal Credit Union, and Elmer’s BBQ Tulsa.

On Saturday May 16th the Black Wall Street Rally Golf Classic Junior Clinic was held at Page Belcher Golf Course with high school students from several Tulsa Public Schools working with Coaches for 1.5 hours on specific but relatable areas of the game.  Each player received 1on1 attention along with a group discussion about the game of golf, and how the game relates to getting the most out of their pursuits in life away from the links.

The Black Wall Street Rally, recognized by USA Today as one of the nation’s 10 Best cultural events rounded out the weekend for the players as registration included a Comedy Show, Street Festival, Greenwood Rising History Museum tour, Financial Literacy seminars, a Health & Wellness village featuring over 15 different clinicians and vendors focused on mental health, heart health, and overall physical wellness along with a concert Saturday May 15th featuring multiple artists and headlined by One Way.
