Opus Women Only Golf Clinic Opens the Door to Confidence, Connection and Opportunity

by AAGD Staff

The Opus Organization is creating a welcoming pathway into golf for women and girls through its upcoming Opus Women Only Golf Clinic, a three-week program designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of the game while building confidence, relationships and a greater appreciation for the opportunities golf can provide.

Built around the belief that access can change outcomes, Opus Organization uses golf as more than a recreational activity. Through mentorship, relationship-building and exposure to positive role models, the organization views golf as a platform for developing character, creating connections and opening doors to new opportunities.

The women-only clinic will consist of three two-hour sessions, combining instruction, practical learning and an introduction to playing on the course. The first session is scheduled for September 5, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon at Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course. Participants will be introduced to golf fundamentals, including grip, stance, posture, alignment and putting. The session will also cover golf etiquette, safety and basic equipment.

The second session, scheduled for September 12 from 10 a.m. to noon at Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course, will focus on swing development. Instruction will include chipping and pitching, the full swing with irons and driving basics. Participants will also have the opportunity to work through practice drills and ask questions.

The program will conclude with an on-course experience on September 19 at Short Beach Golf Course, with the time to be determined. Participants will play three to four holes with instructor guidance while learning about course management, rules and scoring. The session will conclude with a graduation celebration recognizing the participants’ accomplishments.

The program’s emphasis extends beyond technical instruction. Networking, empowerment, connection, collaboration and growth are central themes of the clinic, reflecting Opus Organization’s broader commitment to using golf as a vehicle for personal and community development.

The clinic also supports the organization’s youth-focused work. Opus is encouraging supporters to contribute to its Youth Golf Mentor Program, with donations helping provide opportunities for underserved young people to gain access to golf, mentorship and positive experiences.

For women interested in discovering golf in an encouraging environment, the Opus Women Only Golf Clinic offers an opportunity to learn the game while becoming part of a community focused on confidence, connection and growth. Registration is available through Opus Organization.
