Year-end fundraising initiative launches today to provide free golf instruction and wellness support to military Veterans nationwide

FRISCO, Texas (Oct. 26, 2026) – The PGA of America REACH Foundation has announced the launch of the 2026 “HOPE 4 Heroes” national fundraising campaign, dedicated to expanding access to golf for Veterans and active-duty military personnel participating in PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere). The annual campaign opens today and runs through December 31, 2026.

PGA HOPE is the flagship military initiative of the PGA of America REACH Foundation, the 501(c)(3) charitable foundation of the PGA of America. Over the past year, the program has empowered thousands of service members across all 50 states through a specialized six-week developmental curriculum. Led by PGA of America Golf Professionals, PGA HOPE uses the game of golf to enhance the physical, mental, social and emotional well-being of military Veterans and Active Service Members.

Continuing a legacy of impact spanning more than a decade, PGA HOPE is available at hundreds of locations nationwide and has positively impacted more than 71,000 Veterans to date. It remains the only Veteran golf program to hold a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, allowing medical providers to recommend PGA HOPE as an official form of recreational therapy.

“We continue to see the profound and life-changing impact PGA HOPE has on the lives of our Veterans and active service members,” said Scott Kmiec, Executive Director of the PGA of America REACH Foundation. “The ‘HOPE 4 Heroes’ campaign unites our community to ensure that every Veteran who wants to experience the healing power of golf has access to this program.”

National fundraising efforts are championed locally by PGA of America Sections across the country. This year, several PGA HOPE Ambassadors are taking their commitment to the program even further by fundraising in support of Veterans and Active Service Members in their communities. Drawing on their own experiences, these Ambassadors are raising awareness and generating support to help even more members of the military community discover connection, camaraderie and healing through PGA HOPE.
