The spotlight continues to shine on the success of the 5th Annual African American Golf EXPO & Forum. The public event was held January 22-25 at the Orlando Hyatt, Orlando, Fla., and its Founder, Jim Beatty, was in high demand for an interview by Golf Channel.
Beatty’s event attracted the who’s who of golf, and golf enthusiast, and included the Jim Beatty Invitational golf scramble as a highlighting finish to the 4 days event. Beatty’s effort hopes to gain more diversity in the sport which is an $100 billion industry. Attendees registered for the free event and gathered at seminar sessions to exchange insights, foster collaboration, and network during the lively afternoon and evening programs. A special presentation of the Jerry Tarde Courage Award was presented to Steve Mona former CEO for the World Golf Foundation.
