Black Women in Media for their 6th Black Women in Media Conference & Awards. The sixth conference and awards will be a hybrid– virtual and live six-day experience gathering thousands of attendees, industry experts, decision-makers, and celebrities, according to the organization’s announcement.

Black Women In Media (BWIM) is on a mission geared to “Celebrating Black Women In Media, Communications, & Entertainment”

“The event will launch with a fully virtual 5-day conference on November 15th with a series of panels, speakers, masterclasses, fireside chats, an entertainment lounge, beauty lounge, and a virtual mall featuring hundreds of Black-owned businesses. Speakers range from companies such as Google, Dell, Amazon, Twitter, Facebook, Microsoft, and many more,” said BWIM Founder Judith Jacques.

The awards ceremony taping will take place on Wednesday, November 17th, from 5:30pm until 11:30pm in Long Island, New York, and stream on Saturday, November 20th, from 6pm until 10pm.

The evening agenda:

5:30-7:00pm       | Red Carpet + Cocktail Reception 
(passed hors d’oeuvres, food station, champagne, and open bar)

7:00-10:00pm     | Awards Ceremony + Taping (auditorium seating in theater)

10:00- 11:30pm  | Closing Reception & Celebration (live entertainment & open bar)

The awards ceremony taping will take place on November 17th in New York and stream on Saturday, November 20th, from 6pm until 10pm. The awards will recognize phenomenal Black women who have unquestionably dominated within their industry and platforms. We will also recognize Black women within Communication, Media, Entertainment, and Tech.

Judith Jacques, Founder, Black Women in Media

Jacques, a powerful and inspiring leader said to Authority Magazine that she always tries to “pay it forward…Mentor and inspire a future leader. Empower women who look like me.” Judith has received awards and recognition for her work by New York State Senator, Jesse E Hamilton of the 26th District, been awarded a Tribute Honoree, Patricia Tobin Image Awards, received a Certificate of Merit from the New York State Mayor’s office, and New York State Assembly.
