On the final day of a civil fraud trial that may affect Donald Trump’s business dealings in the state, New York City officials took steps to sever ties with the former president by removing his name from a Bronx golf course, according to Fortune Magazine.
The prominent “Trump Links” sign, visible for nearly a decade from the Whitestone Bridge, was taken down this week in preparation for the unveiling of the new name for the Ferry Point golf course: Bally Links. This rebranding occurred after the Trump Organization transferred the operations of the 18-hole public course to Bally’s Corporation, a gaming and entertainment company seeking to develop a casino in New York.During the unveiling, Mayor Eric Adams emphasized the significance of the lease takeover as a major upgrade for the Bronx. “This day is about so much more than the changing of a sign,” he remarked.
