Bryce Holland Armstrong is a 17-year-old golfer from Palos Verdes, California, with a passion for the game that began when he was just two and a half years old. Introduced to golf by his late father, Burney Holland Armstrong Jr., Bryce took his first swings at Westchester Golf Course in Los Angeles. That early spark turned into a life pursuit, one that continues to be shaped by perseverance, family, and ambition.
Currently attending Palos Verdes Peninsula High School with a GPA of 3.0, Bryce balances academics with a rigorous golf training schedule. He trains at both Chester Washington Golf Course and Los Verdes Golf Course and is a proud member of the Southern California PGA Junior League.
“My father introduced me to the game, and I’ve been in love with it ever since,” Bryce says. “Every round I play, I feel like I’m honoring him.” Bryce’s golf achievements include earning Most Outstanding Player as a sophomore, placing first in the PGA Junior Drive, Chip & Putt competition in 2018, and finishing in the top three of multiple SCPGA Junior Development Tour events. His best score so far is a 76 at Encino Golf Course.
At just 10 years old, Bryce became a professional junior golfer through the Southern California PGA (SCPGA). He earned a spot on the Junior Tour, which is recognized as the professional level for elite junior golfers. His early advancement into this competitive space reflects his strong discipline, clear vision, and genuine passion for the game of golf.
Bryce’s journey is supported by his family’s faith-based organization, Majestic Legacy Ministry, which will also serve as the foundation for his growing brand, B More University. In the near future, Bryce will launch an official donation and merchandise platform that will offer several ways for supporters to get involved.
Through this platform, individuals will be able to make donations or love offerings via Majestic Legacy Ministry, purchase Bryce’s first e-book, which will be published soon, and shop his branded golf apparel under the B More University label. All proceeds from purchases and donations will be managed through Majestic Legacy Ministry. The ministry represents the family’s commitment to uplifting youth through leadership, education, sportsmanship, and legacy-building, using Bryce’s journey as a source of inspiration and purpose.
Playing at a 7.2 handicap Bryce favors his putter, calling it his “most consistent club.” While the driver has been a challenge, he’s working hard to improve accuracy off the tee. He has a scoring average of 78.3 and is NIL eligible. Despite his young age, Bryce has faced significant personal challenges, including the loss of his father at age 12. That loss shaped his perspective and fueled his determination. “Losing my dad was one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced,” he shares. “But I use that pain to push myself harder.”
One of the most important people in Bryce’s life is his mother, Mrs. Ruth Martine Ausby ~ Armstrong. After her husband’s passing, she became Bryce’s rock—providing emotional, financial, and spiritual support while recovering from a torn ACL and major surgery. Her devotion remains a driving force behind Bryce’s journey. “My mom has been everything. Even injured, she never stopped showing up for me,” says Bryce. “She’s the reason I never quit.”
Bryce also credits much of his development to his coach and mentor, Charles “Chip” Womack, a senior PGA player who has guided him like a second father. Looking ahead, Bryce hopes to earn a Division I golf scholarship—ideally at UCLA—and eventually prepare for a professional golf career. His goal is to lower his handicap to scratch and build a legacy that honors both of his parents.
“I’m not just playing for me. I’m playing for my family, for my future, and for every young golfer who needs to see someone who looks like them out there succeeding.”vOutside the golf course, Bryce is an entrepreneur and community contributor. He co-hosts a podcast with high school friends, serves as the youngest CEO of Dreammation EFX Studios, and is developing a golf product line for children. He’s also preparing to mentor kids through the 1st Tee Program at Westchester Golf Course—coming full circle to the course where it all began.
Supported by local brands like Black Active Golf and Get Up Get Down, Bryce is grateful for the recognition and encouragement. Through his achievements and service, he aims to make golf more exciting and inclusive for the next generation. Bryce Holland Armstrong’s journey is one of resilience, ambition, and heart. Every swing he takes is a tribute to the father who inspired him, the mother who supports him, and the dreams he’s determined to realize.
