Empowerment Through Golf (ETG) is one of San Diego’s newer organizations with two-and-a-half years of working experience in the nonprofit sector. “Our efforts support communities through golf, math and science, and service projects,” says the founder, Helyne Joseph. “We’ve taken our mission to countries in East Africa, the Caribbean, and made contributions locally in San Diego, California. The Global Effort is our major effort in 2018 and it will be to support the relief efforts in the Caribbean.”

Towards the end of 2017, the category 5 hurricane Irma left the island of Barbuda in destruction and totally uninhabitable. Joseph is asking golfers to join her in hosting a local event to raise awareness for this cause at the ETG Caribbean Hurricane Relief Golf Tournament.
“With this tournament, we will support the Antigua and Barbuda Red Cross. Most of the items we’ll purchase will focus on immediate wellness and disease prevention for the people of Barbuda. Participation in our cause tournament gives you the chance to make a significant contribution to helping save lives, and provides you with best-in-class marketing, client entertainment, and networking opportunities,” says Joseph who has worked diligently to put all things in place for a grand welcome to participants.
