“Four Centuries in a Weekend”: Documentary of the First African American-Owned Golf and Country Club

(OCTOBER 18, 2019)  The public is invited to attend “Four Centuries in a Weekend,” a John Shippen exhibition and documentary film that chronicles the first African American-owned golf and country club, Shady Rest G&CC.  The program is being presented by the Preserve Shady Rest Committee and will be held October 19-20, 2019 from 12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at the renovated Shady Rest clubhouse, 820 Jerusalem Road, Scotch Plains, NJ  07076.
