Friday, day two at Father/Son Challenge

Friday at the PNC Father/Son Challenge was a bit more comfortable than day one.  Day one was somewhat of a spoiler, with winds, heavy rains and thunder and lightning putting players and spectators to the test.  Play was suspended for safety reasons.  Most of the groups played about seven holes before officials shut it down.  Day two also brought temperatures of around the low 70’s—pretty good golfing weather with all things considered.

As one would’ve expect, Tiger and little Charlie were the marquee duo on the property. Tiger even took a supporting actors role compared to Charlie’s best actors role.  But the proud father wouldn’t have it any other way. Unfortunately, from a health perspective they both finished the last few holes on the back nine with a noticeable limp.  Words on the course was that Charlie twisted his ankle somewhere between the front nine and back nine.

Tomorrow’s 3rd round will pair this Dynamic Duo with their extended family members and Jupiter, Fla. neighbors Justin Thomas and father Mike Thomas.  The foursome is very familiar with each other and each other’s game.  So, expect a little friendly trash talking for bragging rights back at the home course
