Charlotte, North Carolina, USA – In 2021, Juneteenth became a Federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. The holiday marks the anniversary of the final announcement proclaiming the freedom for slaves in Texas on June 19, 1865.
Greenwood GOLF is proud to present its 3rd Annual Juneteenth GOLF Classic and Celebration GALA. This event is not only a charity event with a morning golf tournament and evening GALA but an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the Juneteenth holiday with food, drinks, music, a silent auction, and FLYTY as the emcee. This is a party with a purpose. The net proceeds from both events are donated to “A Perfect Swing,” founded by LPGA professional Ashaunta Epps.
