Brooklyn, NY– On Monday, September 17, 2018, Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York , a non-profit charity serving children, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities across New York City and Long Island, will hold its Annual Golf Classic at the historic Engineers Country Club, 55 Glenwood Rd, Roslyn Harbor, NY.  This year the organization will honor Peter Armstrong Egan of Nixon Peabody, LLC, Little Flower friend and global law firm pioneer.

For over fifteen years this event brings together vendors, community members, donors and of course, avid golfers for a lively day outside, supporting Little Flower’s works and mission. The outings also serves as a way to honor individuals and companies that demonstrate their philanthropic spirit in service to the community.  This year will be commemorated by a special youth speaker will speak on the tremendous impact that Little Flower has had in their life.

The day of fun and lively competition runs from 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM and includes breakfast, a shotgun start, 18 holes of golf, followed by a cocktail hour, an evening program with an elegant buffet dinner, silent auction, awards presentations, and more. The event also features exciting raffles and winners will walk away with a variety of luxury items and experiences.  At the 2017 fundraiser outing, golf raffle prizes included threesomes and foursomes at acclaimed, private courses throughout the region.  This year, similar exciting experiences will be offered for golfers and non-golfers alike who attend.

The annual golf fundraiser is a spirited day of camaraderie on the course and supports the Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York programs benefiting those in their care.  Last year’s tournament raised more than $220,000!

Since 1930, Little Flower has been committed to improving the lives and well-being of those we serve by providing foster care, residential and afterschool youth programs, medical and mental health services and programs for adults with developmental disabilities. Proceeds from the outing support a wide variety of programs and services for those in their care. Programming efforts for youth include vocational and independent-living skills art, music and money management, healthy living enrichment and more. All of the organization’s offerings are provided by caring, licensed staff that devote themselves to enriching the lives of those served, every hour of every day.  Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York has a staff of over 600 people who provide caring and professional services to nearly 2,000 people every year.
